the sustainability of our tuna
Our tuna is fished in accordance with ISSF practices that promote and protect the transparency, traceability, and sustainability of tuna fishing.
Our production facility is accredited by the EARTH ISLAND INSTITUTE DOLPHIN SAFE INTERNATIONAL MONITORING PROGRAM to ensure dolphin safety.
A method that respects catch quotas, preserving other species, to ensure the availability of tuna for future generations.
Our boats
The boats are registered in the ISSF (International Seafood Sustainability Foundation) PVR (ProActive Vessel) system, an identification system that guarantees product traceability and compliance with best fishing practices.
our nets
The nets are non-entangling.
The net is made up of meshes with a diameter of less than 7mm, contributing to the protection of marine biodiversity. In accordance with ISSF policies, damaged nets are recovered from the boats and recycled, thus preventing the dispersion of net residues in the sea.
Fishing nets that are no longer usable are donated to BUREO Inc., which recovers the material and produces and sells products.
This process reduces the carbon footprint and generates funds for marine conservation and community development projects.
